Crown Sterling has the best steaks and service in Lynchburg and the surrounding areas. The host's choice dinner is the best deal you can find anywhere. My ENTIRE meal was $21.75 that included wine, salad bar, steak, baked potatoe, coffee and tea, and dessert. The service is great. The waiter and busser don't worry you to death, but they never let you run out of anything. We always go there for special occasions, but we also enjoy going there for just a quiet, relaxing dinner. The staff is really friendly.

We love Crown Sterling for its atmosphere. The fireplace is romantic. It's quiet. People aren't singing obnoxious birthday songs. The service is always great. The food is cooked perfectly. The bar makes excellent drinks. IT may be a bit old fashioned, but what's wrong with that? It was great 20 yrs ago and it's still great now. thanks

I am the owner of Crown Sterling Restaurant and the above commentary has been copied and pasted all over the web. This person obviously has an axe to grind. If they would contact us, we would certainly make their alleged bad experience good.
We recently received Best Steak, Best Service and Best Overall Awards from the highly acclaimed Lynchburg Living Magazine. That was not achieved by taking these comments lightly.

Would be a funny experience to relate if not so sad, and expensive. Dated menu and decor, poor value for $$$, steaks only average, apple ring as garnish and foil wrapped potatoes, along with the absurd parfait made us feel as though we were in an early 1970s time warp. The salad bar was a disgrace. Formally-attired staff looked oddly out of place in this very hum-drum establishment. I have dined in fine restaurants all over the world but it took this silly place in L'burg to take the cake for pretention. Never again.
